Highlights from the ACOWE Technical Symposium
The inaugural ACOWE Technical Symposium took place on 11 September 2025 at Federation University, Churchill Campus, Victoria, as part of the Gippsland New Energy Conference (GNEC25). Attendees gathered for a welcome reception at the Morwell Innovation Centre before the main event.
The program featured five keynote speeches and sixteen presentations across four themes: marine environment, logistics, offshore engineering, and metocean and hydrodynamics. The event closed with a panel discussion on research priorities for offshore wind in Australia, with input from industry, government, and researchers.
The inclusion of the ACOWE Technical Symposium paved the way for the technical community to share their latest research on Australia’s unique offshore wind challenges and opportunities.
