THE LARGEST REGIONAL-Led NEW ENERGY CONFERENCE IN AUSTRALIA

Gippsland hosted Australia’s largest regional-led New Energy Conference in Sale at The Wedge on Gunaikurnai Country from Wednesday August 30th to Saturday September 2nd 2023, after a successful inaugural conference in 2022.

The Gippsland New Energy Conference 2023 (GNEC 23), featured over 500 participants with over 70 speakers participating in 40 sessions. It kicked off with the Gippy Youth New Energy Summit, supported by AGL Energywith 400 student attendees on the day. GNEC 2023 finished off with Free Community Day which features an EV Expo, films, talks and entertainment supported by Iberdrola Australia.

GNEC 23 was a premier event in the field of sustainable energy, bringing together industry leaders, experts, community ambassadors and enthusiasts to discuss and explore the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in the realm of renewable energy.  It was very successful with over 90% of participants from around the Gippsland, Victoria and international visitors suggesting it met or exceeded their expectations.

This conference is unique to Gippsland and would not be possible without the support of over 40 organisations which include business innovators, local and state government agencies, community leaders and education experts. We would like to thank the Wellington Shire, the WEDGE and Port of Sale teams for their enormous support as generous hosts of GNEC22 and GNEC23.
