Welcome to the Gippsland New Energy Conference, the premier gathering for Australia’s regional leaders in the transition to renewable energy. Here, Government officials, Industry pioneers, and Community advocates converge to shape the future of the Gippsland Renewable Energy Zone.

Gippsland New Energy Conference 2024

Gippsland New Energy Conference runs as a collaborative partner model administered by Gippsland Climate Change Network (GCCN) with the support of a dedicated team.

We extend our thanks to everyone who contributed to making the Gippsland New Energy Conference 2024 a huge success!

We thank the Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy, the Hon. Chris Bowen, the Senator for Victoria Dr. Jess Walsh the Victorian Minister for Climate Action, Energy and Resources and the State Electricity Commission the Hon. Lily D’Ambrosio and Minister for Water, Equality and Housing the Hon. Harriet Shing, for their contribution and continued support of Gippsland as we move through this once in a lifetime transition.

We are grateful for the support of our very generous sponsors, our host, Latrobe City and all the keynote speakers, panellists, facilitators and industry exhibitors that enabled us to meet our aim to offer a diverse program of engaging new energy speakers, Q&A sessions and industry showcase.

We also extend our thanks to our very many volunteers, the catering team and venue staff that contributed to making attending GNEC 24 a happy experience.

GNEC 24 was our biggest yet, with 870 attendees made up of Gippsland locals, visitors from across Australia and from around the world.

  • Free Community Event which features a screening of Planet Wind and film maker Andy Evans, meet the author of Here Comes the Sun, Andy McCarthy, join the panel discussion on jobs and skills and visit the industry and innovation booths.
  • Side events, site tours and networking hosted by partners and the team.
